SHAPE Services' Mobiscope brings remote video surveillance to Apple iPhone

Mobiscope for iPhone

SHAPE Services released Mobiscope for iPhone to allow Apple handset and iPod Touch users to get into George Orwell's shoes in their spare time. Activities like monitoring office work in real time and controling the safety of the children, aged relatives or pets are now available at your fingertips, literary.

Mobiscope offers real-time viewing of the video stream and recording on any disturbance or on schedule. Users may simultaneously view up to four cameras or switch between them to get a zoomed in view. Convenient storage navigation, secure access to the recordings and data encryption are among other valuable features of the application. Mobiscope may be accessed from iphone.mobiscope.com in the Safari browser.

Those who have some other, non-Apple made device will appreciate the fact SHAPE Services also made BlackBerry, Symbian and Java ME versions of Mobiscope available. Because their solution is affordable and easy to use, SHAPE hopes it will "become the in-pocket tool for anyone from mid-level executives to single mothers, from reporters to accident witnesses." We'll see whether that will be the case…
