It looks like Apple watchers won't have that much longer to wait, as the company has sent out an invite to journalists (US journalists, naturally) inviting them to take a look at the "iPhone software" roadmap on 6 March.

Talk of the Town (bloggers) - Nokia Morph phone concept

I guess that Greenpeace report, slamming Nokia for the sharp drop-off in environment friendly practices, is really bugging Nokia.

Within a week of the report release we get Nokia Evolve 3110, a somewhat updated version of 3110 classic, with a "green" angle.

Since then the leadership of green initiatives was taken up by Nokia research division.

First we've got Nokia Eco Sensor concept, then came Nokia Remade recyclable phone.

All these initiatives sum-up into not a much more then a PR vaporware, but the Greenpeace report was also mainly a PR issue for Nokia. So let the Finnish "green" PR offensive continue. We are getting some pretty nice pictures of possible future phone designs, at least.

And today we are treated with one more interesting "green" phone concept - Nokia Morph

Nokia's Text Messesenger On PC

The application fetches you the latest text messages from your connected Nokia device. Naturally, the latest messages are displayed first.

A gadget for Windows Vista, Nokia Text Messenger comes in two different sizes. If you want to place the application in your Windows Sidebar, you can opt for Nokia Text Messenger in a smaller size. The sidebar gadget lets you view three text messages at a time.

If you want Nokia Text Messenger in a slightly larger size, you can have it floating freely on your desktop. In this case, text messages can be browsed in groups of five.

Motorola to stick to its handset business

It's hard to argue against activist investor Carl Icahn, who owns a 5% of Motorola and who says breaking up the company could unlock more value for shareholders, but the fact stays that the American handset maker is pretty much the dominant player in the U.S. handset market. So personally I don't believe they should just dump it or sell it to someone else (Dell?). "Motorola is fully committed to the mobile devices business and I am fully committed to mobile devices," Chief Executive Greg Brown said at a reception at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

You'd be hard pressed to find a rumor starter more active than industry insider Robert X. Cringely, and his most recent speculation is one that might turn more than a few heads. Cringey states with certainty that Google has two self-branded gPhones in the works made by Samsung for release in Q4 2008 and Q1 2009, one being a smartphone, and the other a low- to mid-range device.

Is there any thing for us as "3rd Party Developer" in LiMo

Is there any thing for us as "3rd Party Developer" in LiMo

Find out the answer here

"Pocket Express" is now native S60

Handmark were promising a native S60 version of their information portal app at last year's Smartphone Show. It seems it just went live, at least for UK users. It's a 2.4MB install though, and you need to surrender phone number and postcode info before it'll do anything. As with the original Java version, you get news, sport, dictionary, weather and finance stats for free, but you need to pay for mapping and travel help (via IntoMobile).

Japanese Reeling in Fish On Their Mobiles

This is absurd, completely, but if you can look past it, there's a killer idea here. First, let me lay this out for you. There's a new fishing game going around western Japan that allows mobile phone gamers to boat around and catch fish. Sounds interesting, but what's special? The fact that the developer has teamed up with a local fish wholesaler who is offering to deliver real fish to the champions of the game.
